Corpus Christi Eucharistic Procession On Sunday, June 23, the Church celebrates Corpus Christi, The Solemnity of the Body and Blood of the Lord. Traditionally on this Sunday, many parishes have honored the Blessed Sacrament with Eucharistic Processions. We will have a Eucharistic Procession at the conclusion of the 11:30am Mass today. The Procession will lead from the Church to three different altars, the first in the Great Hall, the second at the garden, and the third by the Adoration Chapel. At each altar prayers will be said and a blessing given. Those wishing to participate and who will be attending the 11:30am Mass may simply follow Father out of the church in the procession at the conclusion of the Mass. Those not attending the 11:30am Mass can gather at the first altar located in our Great Hall around 12:15pm. First Communion children are invited to attend the celebration dressed in their First Communion outfits.

New Lector Training Proclaiming the Word of God at Mass is a wonderful privilege! For those interested in becoming a lector, we will conduct new lector training on Saturday, June 22 at 10:00 a.m. in the main worship space at SES. Everyone will have the opportunity to practice a short reading selection from the church ambo. We expect training to last just over an hour. RE Registration Due Any family who has not registered for Religious Education for 2019-2020, please do so as quickly as possible. Forms are available on the St. Elizabeth Seton website or outside the RE office. It is diocesan policy that a child is in the Religious Education program for one full year before receiving sacraments. A child would need to be in First Grade Religious Education to be on track to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation and Eucharist in 2nd Grade. Please call the RE office with questions or concerns.

Summer Hours The Parish Office and Religious Education Office will close at 12:00 pm on Fridays through August 30. The Parish Office will be open Monday-Thursday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The Religious Education Office will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.

Best Wishes and Thank You to Fr. Tony and Fr. Philip Fr. Tony Taschetta has been shepherding all of us at St. Elizabeth Seton for almost 3 months. June 30th will be Fr. Tony’s last weekend here as Fr. Scott is scheduled to return to the parish on July 1st. The time has flown. Fr. Tony has been a wonderful blessing to us during his time here. He has been with us to celebrate Mass, minister to the sick, bury the dead, baptize and be a witness of God’s love so that we can draw closer to God in our own lives. We have also received word from Abbot Austin that Fr. Philip Timko from St. Procopius Abbey has a new assignment beginning July 1, 2019 and will no longer be available for weekend assistance at St. Elizabeth Seton. We are very grateful to Fr. Philip and the other priests from the Abbey who have helped us out over the years. Over the next couple weeks, please extend your best wishes and gratitude to Fr. Philip and Fr. Tony for all that they done at St. Elizabeth Seton. They will be missed!!

ATTN. YOUNG ADULTS - 20's & 30’s The St. Elizabeth Seton Young Adult Community (YAC) is a new group for young adults in their 20s and 30s. We regularly gather for fellowship and social events, give back to our community through service projects, and participate in faith formation activities to grow in our Catholic faith. Extraordinary Minister Training Training for new Extraordinary Ministers of Communion will take place Wednesday, May 29th @ 7:00pm. Ministers must be confirmed, church-going Catholics in good standing with the Catholic Church. We are most in need of ministers for the 5pm Mass on Saturday and 11:30 Mass on Sunday. However, please consider attending even if you prefer to serve at one of the other Mass times. All current Extraordinary Ministers who would like to attend the training for a refresher, are welcome to attend. Please let me know if you are coming. If you are interested in serving our parish in this way and would like to be considered for this ministry, please RSVP to Joanne Johnson at [email protected]. If you have served in this capacity at another parish, you still must attend this training in order to serve at SES.

Vacation Bible School 2019 All Nations Call HIM Blessed June 10-14 - 9:00am - Noon Student Registration is available on the website and outside the RE office. VBS is for incoming Kindergarten - 5th Grade. Youth leaders are 6-12 grades. A lottery for Youth leaders will take place after June 1 if needed.

Deacon Tom Ross - Anniversary of Ordination Celebration Deacon Tom Ross celebrated his 40th Anniversary of Ordination to the Diaconate on May 4.
